Juan Soto, who plays for the San Diego Padres in Major League Baseball (MLB), has been named the National League (NL) Player of the Week.
The MLB office announced the NL and American League (AL) Players of the Week on Monday. Soto spun the bat harder than anyone last week.
In the team’s six games, he batted 4-for-5 with 11 doubles (in 26 at-bats), four home runs, 13 RBIs, and a 1.500 OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage). San Diego’s chances of making the postseason are slim, but Soto’s bat has helped them go 5-1 in those six games.

In the AL, Rafael Devers of the Boston Red Sox was named Player of the Week.
